Below is a list that I have complied of almost every song that has been played on Radio Disney from its launch in 1996 up to 2008. Sources include archived Radio Disney web pages*, tommy2.net** and miscellaneous live recordings that I’ve made from 2000 to 2007. I’m also including myself as a source, as there were some songs that I’ve only recall hearing once or twice, but have since stuck with me over the years after researching and adding them to my music collection.
While this list contains pretty much every hit song that was featured on Radio Disney during this time, it also contains some lesser known songs that never took off, or quickly fell out of rotation shortly after being introduced. Also note that since I didn’t start listening until 2000, I’m sure there are plenty of songs that I’ve missed or never heard prior to then, likely when they were removed from rotation. There are also some songs that I couldn’t find the artists for, and even songs (mostly the pre-school based ones) that I couldn’t find either the name or the artist.
While I’m open for missing songs and artist info that you can leave in the comments, I will need proof in order to add them to the list, like a creditable website or a short recording uploaded to YouTube containing Radio Disney ID’s/promos/air checks. In some cases, the name and the artist of certain songs might be enough as I should be able to recall hearing that particular song on Radio Disney.
